December 2024 Marks a Milestone in Regional Capacity Building for Mineral Traceability
LuNa Smelter, in partnership with Woodcross Resources, is proud to announce the launch of the Traceability Training Program, a pivotal initiative under Outcome 3 of our collaborative project. This transformative training program, scheduled to run from December 2024 to January 2025, aims to develop a cadre of 20 highly skilled traceability experts in Rwanda and Uganda.
Key Collaborations and Agreements
LuNa Smelter has solidified its commitment to the program by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Rwanda University, while Woodcross Resources has entered into a cooperation agreement with Busitema University in Uganda. These partnerships bring together leading academic institutions, global industry experts, and smelters to deliver a comprehensive training experience.

The training program offers a blend of theoretical knowledge and practical experience, delivered by renowned specialists.
Participants will gain hands-on expertise through field trips to designated mines, trading houses, and smelters, led by the traceability departments of the participating organizations.
