Press Release: EPRM TinLink Training Successfully Concludes in Rwanda and Uganda

We are delighted to announce that the EPRM TinLink Training in Rwanda and Uganda has been officially completed! This milestone marks the culmination of months of dedication, collaboration, and knowledge-sharing. A heartfelt thank you to all participants, trainers, and experts for your enthusiasm and commitment throughout the online and practical sessions. Your active engagement has been instrumental in making this program a success.

Through this initiative, in collaboration with the EPRM, global industry experts, the University of Rwanda, Busitema University, LuNa Smelter and Woodcross Smelter specialists, participants have gained valuable hands-on experience and industry insights. This training has been an incredible opportunity to bridge knowledge gaps and strengthen the tin supply chain with responsible sourcing practices. Diploma Ceremony in Kigali

On February 6, a ceremony was held at the Marriott Hotel in Kigali to award diplomas to students from the University of Rwanda. The event was honored by the presence of distinguished guests from:

  • RMB (Rwanda Mines, Petroleum and Gas Board)
  • Delegation of the European Union to Rwanda
  • Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Rwanda 
  • University of Rwanda 
  • RMA (Rwanda Mining Association) 
  • Upstream industry players
  • LuNa Smelter Management Board and Managing Director The official ceremony in Uganda is set to take place at the end of February – stay tuned for further details!
